These organizations are positively impacting the lives of asylum seekers in Saco and York County by creating a community-led on-site vegetable garden, leadership classes, and logistical support. They have provided food, furnishings for homes, transportation and outdoor activities for youth, Wi-fi devices for English Language learners to study while at home, a Christmas Tree celebrating refugees in Saco, and trauma-informed therapy for children and families.
We'd like to thank Catholic Charities of Maine for helping us distribute beautiful flowers to mothers and grandmothers in celebration of Mother's Day.
Thank you to these organizations, their staffs and volunteers and their partners for embracing new Mainers and helping them find happiness and fulfillment in their lives.
